Land in SA can be subdivided, either by standard Torrens Title (under the Real Property Act, 1886) or by Community Title (under the Community Titles Act, 1996). Both produce Titles to land that can be individually sold off or managed separately in a portfolio etc. Existing Strata Titles can be converted to Community Title or possibly upgraded to Torrens Title.
